This Privacy Policy explains how Shore Desk LLC ("Shore Desk," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Shore Desk (the "Service").

Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and the password you set (passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, not by us in plain text).
  • Property & business data: details you add about your rentals, such as property names, bookings, pricing, turnovers, and income.
  • Guest information you enter: information you choose to add about your guests, such as names, contact details, notes, and lease documents.
  • Usage information: basic technical information needed to operate the Service, such as log data and device/browser information.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To send Service-related emails, such as confirmations, reminders, and the messages you choose to send your guests through Shore Desk.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To protect the security and integrity of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell your guests' information.

Your guests' information

When you add information about your guests, you control that information and you are responsible for it. Shore Desk processes it on your behalf so you can manage your rentals. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store your guests' information and for honoring their privacy rights.

Service providers

We share information with trusted providers who help us run the Service, only as needed to provide it. These currently include hosting and database services (for example, Vercel and Supabase) and email delivery (Resend). When we add payment processing, a payment provider (such as Stripe) will handle billing information. These providers are bound by their own obligations to protect your data.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure. Lease documents are kept in private storage and are accessible only through time-limited, signed links. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To make a request, email help@shoredesk.app.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

Children

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and will update the date above.
